Elvira & Piper
Elvira - Female Black & White - About 1 year old
Piper - Female Calico - About 8 months old
2 Females
Elvira & Piper must be an indoor cats
They cannot be rehomed with other existing cats. However, they can be rehomed separately or together, although they are not bonded.
Their fosterers call them Elvie & Pipes! They were both very shy when they first arrived but they are 2 super curious girls and have been (cautiously) exploring the whole house. They definitely feel more confident & comfortable with each day.
Elvira (Elvie)
- She is always keen on playtime (feather on a stick! she also really likes playing with springs... so much so that she lost them somewhere? we cant find them..)
- She LOVES a butt scratch. She wouldn't really come cuddle or lean into being pet when approached but if she's just chilling and you give her a butt scratch she is SO into it, rolling on back and all.
- She is super intelligent: when myself or my partner are done with playtime ... she often isn't, so she drags the feather stick, positions it and hunts it herself. She is also very self aware, no nails on my leg etc... as opposed to some others 🤨
Piper (Pipes)
- She is definitely the more shy one. She used to rely on Elvie to test the waters first (come eat, come play) and then follow. She is improving confidence now and roaming about, eating first, playing first, but her favourite spot is still under the sofa.
- She is VERY strong. This girl takes playtime seriously. The feather stick always sheds a few when Pipes is attacking, nails, teeth, no one could take it back if she doesn't let us!
- She is still cautious around people but doesn't IMMEDIATELY run and hide when we enter the room as she used to.
- Very keen (strong!) head-but against your hand when food is being served.. she was cuddled up against my partner yesterday and wouldn't let her move ! We believe she might have strong affection potential once she's less stressed & fully comfortable...
- She is still building awareness - still learning to not use claws when stepping on people for example 🤨
- She can be a little defensive. We think this is due to fear and it will wear off. She used to hiss at us when we enter a room and she still hisses at Elvie sometimes when she tries to approach her (Elvie just wants a friend!)
They are:
Neutered
Microchipped
Treated to prevent fleas and worms
