Minnie's and Minnie's Haven Story

Welcome to Minnie's Haven Cat Rescue, a cat charity created by 3 individuals passionate about animal welfare. Whilst the charity was created by Jenna, Gaye and Kara, they are under no illusion that Minnie's Haven would not be what it is today without all the help and support they receive from others, for which they are truly grateful.

Who was Minnie?

Minnie/Matilda was a kitten that Jenna was fostering in 2022. She was just a baby who had been given such a rough start in life. Fortunately, she fell into the right hands and was given so much love and support, sadly that was not enough to keep her life going. She kept suffering with seizures, they tried different medications and did numerous tests. She was diagnosed with toxoplasmosis and was being treated for this too. Unfortunately, it was all too much for that little body. She had 63 days filled with love and care from Jenna.

Minnie, this charity is for you. We built this in your honour. Your strength, your feistiness and the fight you had was legendary, we dedicate it all to you.

Here at Minnie's Haven, we're dedicated to providing a nurturing environment for every cat that comes through our doors. Our volunteers and veterinarians work tirelessly to ensure these cats receive the love and attention they deserve.

Minnie's memory guides our mission to rescue, rehabilitate, and find loving homes for cats who might have otherwise been overlooked. Every cat that finds shelter with us becomes a part of Minnie's legacy, reminding us of the impact of compassion and kindness.
