Marj
This is Marjoram.
She's estimated to be around 4 years old and likely to have had multiple back to back litters.
Her story is a sad one and so avoidable.
She was rescued by her fosterers from a very volatile situation. They were told that she was very heavily pregnant and the owner had put her outside as she didn’t want to deal with another litter. Unfortunately by the time she was rescued, she had already delivered 2 babies who hadn't survived. She presented with a huge mammary swelling the size of a fist and she was massively underweight. She was scooped up and taken to safety. It was then discovered she was still in labour and in difficulty. We admitted her to the vets immediately, she was scanned and after some oxytocin, she delivered a third kitten who also passed away very quickly despite all efforts. She was sent home with antibiotics and pain relief and she was monitored and cared for closely by her foster home.
A couple of weeks later she was taken back to the vets to be spayed. While under the vets also removed the growth from her mammary. Luckily this came back as a benign growth.
Marj has settled in so well to her foster home and now she is feeling better she wants nothing but attention. She calls at the door until someone goes in to give her strokes and cuddles. She jumps up for attention too.
She loves being high up and will climb up where ever she can. She will then call out for you to retrieve her as she can’t get back down.
She has a very angry resting face but we promise she is the loveliest girl, and she will make sure you know how much she appreciates you.
