Peg's fosterer has said:

Peg has been with me for just over a week now. We believe she's about 10, and came in with a nasty infected bite wound. She's allowed us to clean that up and taken her daily antibiotics like a trouper. It's now healed and the vet is very pleased.

Peg loves her wet food but will only graze on dry or if nothing else is available. She would obsessively stare at her food bowl when she first arrived but is beginning to learn that her next meal will come and she doesn't get fed every time a human walks through the door. Licky mats have been a revelation, helping her slow down and even leave food when she's full. She prefers to dine with the emotional support of her human nearby!

What Peg lacks in size, she more than makes up for in catitude. She has a few boundaries (she's female, don’t we all?) and will need a patient adopter who can give her the space, time, and respect she deserves while she adjusts and learns to trust.

She will be on your knee within 10 seconds of you sitting down and will happily curl up and purr for hours. She will have a little grumble if you move when she's comfy though so she's a perfect deterrent for the late night snacker!

She's not demanding of attention or overly vocal and she has the most polite meow. She will play for short bursts with a wand toy, I suspect she's been a master mouser when she had to catch her own tea.

I don't think she would like to share her food so is best suited to being the only pet in the household. I'm sure she will thrive in a calm adult household with humans who appreciate a gentle companion with a little bit of spice.

Amongst the little quirks we're discovering is a dislike for the binmen, or it could just be Monday morning blues!

She is:

  • Neutered

  • Microchipped

  • Treated to prevent fleas and worms
